Everyone that vapes knows how rapidly the field has progressed over the last couple of years. They in turn realize that the field will not stop progressing for the next couple of years and probably even after that. This is because vapes are more of a technology than a commodity like cigarettes and so the trend of technology is to keep progressing.

What and How:

However, this progress can be somewhat daunting to the people who are relatively new to the field of vaping. They just do not understand at one glance what they are supposed to use and how they are supposed to use it. And although most vapers now understand that they ought to question what they are using, not many understand that they should also question How they should use it.

Nevertheless, the question holds immense importance for any vaper that wants to enjoy their vaping experience. Yes, it seems absurd asking how to vape because it seems so apparent that you just inhale and exhale, but there are different ways to vape. The two different ways are that you either inhale directly into your lungs or that you inhale into your mouth and let it stay for a while before you inhale it into your lungs.

Is There Really A Difference?

Although the methods are different, there is considerable debate about whether there is actually a difference in the experience of vaping from these conflicting ways and even though some may disagree, there actually is a considerable difference in the vaping experience. The most apparent differences are as follows:

1. Taste:

The taste that you get from vaping the two different ways is very different. In the Mouth to Lung method, you get to hold your vapor in your mouth before it goes to your lungs. This means that the vapor gets considerable time inside your mouth and on your tongue. This in turn gives your taste buds great interaction with the vapor. In Direct to Lung Vaping, however, the vapor goes instantly to the lungs and thus there is no or very little time for your vapor to interact with your taste buds. So, the taste in Direct to Lung Vaping is diminished as compared to mouth to lung vaping.

2. Throat Hit:

When you hold the vapor in your mouth for a while before letting it pass through your throat to reach lungs, the throat hit is affected and is diminished which makes it pass through your throat smoothly to reach your lungs. On the other hand, in Direct to Lung vaping, the throat hit is not diluted by the vapor staying in your mouth and therefore the throat hit is relatively harsher. But, for people that like their throat hit, there is no better alternative than direct to lung vaping.

3. Cloud Production:

Because the vapor has to stay longer inside your mouth and lungs in Mouth to Lung Vaping, the vapor produced dies out. The resultant cloud production is therefore mediocre. In Direct to Lung Vaping the vapor travels to and from the lungs instantly and so the vapor that you exhale is much more than the Mouth to Lung practice.

4. Close to Cigarette Experience:

Where the Direct to Lung Vaping is usually considered to be a very advanced vaping technique, the Mouth to Lung technique is rather simple and one that cigarette smokers usually use. So, if you plan on vaping to stop smoking, you should (and this is the only way that you will know) use the Mouth to Lung vaping techniques because of its closer nature. Once used to vaping, you can switch to Direct to Lung experience.
